Testimonials.

My name is Philipp, and I’m training as a Process Mechanic for Plastics and Rubber Technology. I’m currently in my second year of training.

At the beginning of the apprenticeship, I completed a four-month basic metal training program in our workshop. After that, I was introduced to the fundamentals of injection molding. Once I mastered those, I moved on to the production area, where I now spend most of my training time.

What I really appreciate about KNIPPING is the many opportunities offered, such as visiting other plants within the company group or even taking part in an internship abroad (which requires an external application). Some of my favorite experiences include the Christmas parties and the introductory weekend for trainees.

I chose KNIPPING because I really enjoyed my internship there.

On August 15, 2017, I began my apprenticeship as a Process Mechanic for Plastics and Rubber Technology at KNIPPING.

In the first few weeks, I had the opportunity to explore different departments within the company. I especially enjoyed working in the injection molding and tool maintenance departments. Initially, I found it difficult to reconfigure the machines and peripheral equipment because I was nervous and didn’t want to make any mistakes. However, after my trainer explained all the steps, I can now almost independently reconfigure some machines. And whenever I still need help, assistance is always available.

Once a year, we go on a trip or have a team-building day with all the trainees and trainers. I’m excited to continue working at this company because there are also various opportunities for further education.

In August 2016, my apprenticeship as a Process Mechanic for Plastics and Rubber Technology at KNIPPING finally began.
At first, everything was new, but I quickly got to know various departments and employees. I felt most comfortable in the injection molding department. Since new tools are regularly sampled, the work remains very varied. The company has a great working atmosphere, which is also strengthened by shared outings. This creates a supportive environment where you’re never alone when you have questions or need help.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue working at this company because there are many opportunities for further education and personal development after the apprenticeship.

In August 2017, I began my apprenticeship as a Process Mechanic for Plastics and Rubber Technology at KNIPPING.
Since I had already worked at the company before, I knew exactly what to expect. I was also familiar with my colleagues, and they were one of the reasons I wanted to do my apprenticeship there.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you rotate through various departments, including quality control, design, and toolmaking, gaining experience in each. As an aspiring process mechanic, I find the work very varied, as there are many different tools, each with its own characteristics.

The working atmosphere at the company is very pleasant, and I really enjoy working with my colleagues. Once a year, we go on a trip with all the trainees and trainers. We all decide on a destination together. Additionally, we participate in a company sports tournament every year at a local sports hall, where we play football.

In the future, I will continue to work hard and make the most of everything that is taught to me during my apprenticeship, as there are many opportunities for valuable further education after completing the training.
