Industrial Clerk (m/f/d)

During the Training.

Few commercial training programs are as diverse as that of an Industrial Clerk (m/f/d). During your training, you will rotate through all commercial departments, including Purchasing, Accounting, HR, Sales Support, Shipping Office, Sales, Work Preparation, and Cost Calculation (locations: Leingarten & Talheim). In each department, you will receive the necessary support to quickly familiarize yourself with your tasks and take on part of the team’s responsibilities. You will also learn to work independently during your training.

A great working atmosphere can be found throughout the company – many colleagues have been with us for years. Here, everyone knows everyone, which creates a very friendly and welcoming environment. Grades are secondary for us; what matters most is that you fit into our team and are motivated to complete your training successfully.

The combination of hands-on experience in the company and theoretical knowledge from vocational school forms the foundation for your successful career start.

My name is Michelle, I’m 26 years old, and I’m training as an Industrial Clerk.

After completing my first apprenticeship, I decided to pursue a versatile profession with future prospects, and Knipping gave me the chance for a fresh start. Currently, I’m in my first year of training, and I’m already certain that choosing Knipping was the right decision.

At the start of the apprenticeship, we had an introductory week for trainees to get to know the company and its employees, which made the beginning much easier for me. During the apprenticeship, you get to work in various departments such as Purchasing, Planning, and Shipping.

(Since our training started during the COVID-19 pandemic, we unfortunately didn’t have an introductory weekend. Luckily, this will be made up with the new trainees.)

What I particularly enjoy is the many activities we get to do as trainees. Last year, we organized the Christmas market in Leingarten together. This year, we hosted the trainees from Gummersbach. We spent our evenings together with activities like a factory tour at Audi, an escape room visit, and dinner afterwards.

For me, it was important to join a company with a good working atmosphere—and I wasn’t disappointed. In every department, you’re warmly welcomed and appreciated.

My name is Luca, I’m 19 years old, and I’m currently in my first year of training as an Industrial Clerk.

What I really appreciate about KNIPPING is that you can have a good conversation with anyone. No matter which department you join, you are warmly welcomed.

My favorite experience: It’s hard to pick just one since I’ve had many great experiences at KNIPPING. So, I’ll share two that stood out.

One highlight was the introductory weekend at the start of the apprenticeship. All first- and second-year trainees stayed in a house together to get to know each other. We cooked meals and played games together—it was a fantastic way to begin.

Another memorable experience was the trainee outing to the go-kart track in Bad Rappenau. We were split into teams of two and raced against each other. After the race, we had pizza, making it a perfect way to end the evening.

What have I done so far in my training? In my first year, I’ve worked in two departments: Purchasing and Sales. I’ve taken on tasks outlined in the training framework plan. Additionally, I’ve helped with events like the Christmas party and the summer festival.

When asked what makes my training company special, I would say it’s undoubtedly the family-like atmosphere. There’s a strong sense of mutual support—here, it’s all about giving and receiving.

The human aspect is also highly valued: you’re appreciated not just for your work but also as an individual. While in some companies you’re just assigned a worker number, at KNIPPING the core idea is that you’re a name, not a number. This is a statement with substance, and I can confirm it from my own experience. Even as a trainee, you’re always treated as an equal.

A particularly memorable moment for me was when I received understanding and support for my passion as an athlete. I was given time off work to participate in a sporting event. This demonstrated to me that KNIPPING values and supports the person behind the worker.

The training is well-structured, and you get to know the company from the ground up—even beyond the scope of your specific role. Emphasis is placed on allowing trainees to “think outside the box,” which is essential for understanding the company as a whole. It’s no surprise that we are Dualis-certified by the Heilbronn-Franken Chamber of Commerce (recognition for excellent training companies).

In the apprenticeship program, a lot of emphasis is placed on team building. I’ve already experienced many great moments with my colleagues, such as the introductory weekend and go-karting.
